What I learnt at VISY recycling center .

Hey check this out , Last week on Wednesday the 26th of  August
most May Road Rata team and all Kauri team went on a trip to VISY
recycling center it was AWESOME but it smelt really bad .

This week for math our topic was fractions. I learnt that you only add the bottom numbers not the top numbers. For e.g : 1/18 + 1/16 =1/ 34 How I answered the Question The first thing I did was add 18 and 16 because 18 and 16 are the numbers are at the bottom.

SCIENCE EXPERIMENT

Date of experiment Wednesday 27  May  2015

Equipment/materials (what were ALL the things you used to conduct the experiment?):

1. See through tube
2. pop corn kernels
3. water

Hypothesis (what was the prediction you made BEFORE you started doing anything?):

that after I drop about 34 a drop of water will drip out of the see through tube

Steps taken (list as much detail as you can):

• Full up your see through tube with water.
• drop each popcorn kernels one by one into the see through tube.

Result (what actually happened, and was it the same as, or different from your prediction?) :

My prediction was right .

Conclusion (what did you learn from the experiment?):

That you can drop more than 26  popcorn kernels into a  see through tube.

Math x Fairy tales.

Once upon a time there a was a boy named Jack,he lived with his mother in the forest .

One day Jack and his mother were out of money, so Jack's mother said ‘’ Jack we are out of money you have to go sell our cow milky white.Along the way to the fair Jack found a man selling magic beans, so Jack sold milky white to a man in trade of his magic beans.Jack sprinted home to show his mother

My question is :

1. Jack has got 1 bean

and each day the bean grow 6 meters a day.

How long would the beanstalk grow in

25 days?. 25 x 6 =150

Sleeping beauty.

Once long ago,there lived a magnificent King

and his also kind wife the Queen.

They lived in an Enchanted forest in their beautiful castle.

On the first of December the queen and the king had a baby girl named Aurora .On the first of December, princess Aurora had her first birthday. The Queen and the King had a humongous feast and everyone in the Enchanted forest was invited, but there was also 12 special guests. These 12 special guests were Fairy. There were supposed to be 13 fairies but the last fairy was Evil. Each fairy  gave princess Aurora a gift,

like the gift of beauty,kindness  and lots more.

After the Th fairy the Evil fairy suddenly appeared, her name was Maleficent,She  cursed baby Aurora  just because she was not invited to her birthday. The Maleficent's said’’ by the time princess Aurora turns 16 she will prick her finger and die’’. The Th fairy had not granted her gift she used her gift to change the curse instead princess Aurora  will fall into a deep sleep and  true loves kiss will break the spell .By the time Princess Aurora turned sixteen

she came by an old castle. She knocked on the door and entered the castle. In the castle was a little old women and a spindle. The women said’’If you may help me please make a warm, little coat”. As the princess stepped over to the little old women she pricked her finger and fell into a deep dark sleep.The little old women was actually  Maleficent. With an evil laughter Maleficent disappeared into the darkness. Suddenly the all the enchanted village.

fell into a deep sleep as well.One hundred years later Princess Aurora was awoken by true loves kiss and they lived happily ever after.

The giant's point of jack and the beanstalk.

Once upon  a time there was a giant and his lovely wife, They lived in a castle in the sky.This is the giants story.

In the morning I wake up and have breakfast.At the table it  smelt quite funny,so I said Fi thi thou thump I smell the blood of an Englishman. After I eat breakfast, I go into my barn and count my money, well I count my money  my magic harps sing plays me music and my magic goose that lays golden eggs . But one day I went to go count my money and  my money was not there.’’

I went into my barn and my magic goose was not there I went searching for my magic goose but I could not fine my goose.  The day after that my magic harp went missing but I heard It calling from the foot path.

I had to chase a little boy for the whole day,

wow I'm tired . Well at the end jack became the hero and the giant was the villain.

E.O.T.C week # awesome

On Monday the 23 of  to the 26 of march was E.O.T.C week .

On Monday 23 we had an amazing trip to the wave pools.                                                         E.O.T.C week means Education outside the classroom.
